PURPOSE
OF THE TRAIL
The
KCPD's Trail of Heroes memorializes those departmemt members
who have spent their lives protecting their community.
The first section of the Trail is dedicated to those police
officers who have died in the line of duty, while the
second section is dedicated to those department
employees that have died while off-duty or after retirement.
It is a beautiful and peaceful place, where visitors
can enjoy nature while turning their thoughts to those who
spend, and sometimes sacrifice, their lives in order to Serve
and Protect.
